This month I was very lucky to
receive a Voxbox geared towards Latina beauties, and being one myself I was
anxious to see what was in store for me! As soon as I got my box I squealed in
excitement and opened it like a kid at Christmas!

In my Voxbox, I received a travel sized bottle of Bath and
Body Works Twilight Woods fragrance (3oz), a sample bag of tampax/always
radiant products that came in an adorable pink clutch purse, a travel sized
bottle of Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration spf30 sunscreen (3oz), a box of Veet ready
to use leg waxing strips, a box of new Always Infinity Radiant scented pads,
and a tube of NYC’s Liquid Lip Shine in “Nude York City”. It also came with a
little card giving descriptions of each product and their retail price, which I
think is awesome, it shows you just how valuable your box is! And now on to the
review!
Bath and Body Works Twilight Woods Shower Gel ($5.00 for
3oz, $11.00 for 10oz)
I am a huge Bath and Body Works junkie! Every time I go I
find it difficult not to leave without a few things, and the constant sales
they throw are an even bigger tease, so I can never resist!
My Voxbox had a travel sized shower gel of one of their
signature scents, Twilight Woods. It has a woody/musky fragrance that smells
very subtle, and leaves skin feeling soft and nourished. You don’t need a lot
of it either, it has a rich lather. Just
pour a small amount onto a bath pouf, lather, and you’re good to go! I have
used plenty of other scents from Bath and Body Works, but never this one. Musky
notes have never been my thing, but I am glad I got to try this one finally. It
isn’t too strong, and on my skin it lightens up more, I love it! I will be
buying this scent on my next visit, along with a few favorites more than likely.

Always/Tampax Radiant Sample Box (prices vary)
I
loved the little clutch the products came in! It makes that time of the month
more comfortable and private for us ladies, and gives you a dash of extra flare
as well! This little clutch was packed with feminine products, as well as a
mini coupon book.

I must admit, before sampling the tampons I was terrified.
I’ve never used them before, I’ve heard horror stories, and I’ve imagined it
being a rather uncomfortable experience. But while this sample was my first
attempt ever at using one of these, I am pleasantly surprised at how much
comfort I experienced! First of all, the instructions were very simple to
understand, making the rest a cakewalk. I did not feel any discomfort during
use, so for a first attempt I was ecstatic!
On the whole, I liked the tampons (the size I used, anyway),
but I cannot see myself implementing It permanently into my routine. While they
were comfortable, I am content with pads, and don’t see a need for me to reach
for tampons just yet. I will consider using them for times I feel I cannot use
a pad, but probably no more than that. But for all you tampon users out there,
check them out, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!
Always Radiant Infinity Pads ($6.99)
I have
been using Always Infinity Pads for a long time. They are incredibly
comfortable, lightweight, and super absorbent. Always Radiant pads are the
exact same great product, but lightly scented. They smell very nice, very clean
and feminine. I like the added scent, I believe it helps us ladies to feel more
confident and not embarrassed or feeling like you’d rather crawl into a hole
for 7 days!

They’re
made from a soft and durable yet thin foam material that moves with you and
keeps you dry for a long time. Here's a diagram from Always explaining how it works:
These
pads are a bit smaller than the ones I usually use, but they’re perfect for
those lighter days, and I will definitely be buying more of these!

Veet Ready To Use Leg Waxing Strips ($9.99)

The box contains 40 wax strips and 6 wipes for easy cleanup
afterwards. Two strips are stuck together, so all you need to do is rub the
strips in your hands for a few seconds to warm up the wax, stick it to the
desired area of your leg, wait about 5 minutes, and let it rip! I waxed my
legs, and I was so happy with the results! I felt virtually no pain, and
cleanup was so simple. My legs didn’t get irritated either, and having
sensitive skin myself I was very pleased.
Fortunately for me, the hair on my legs is pretty light,
but it makes showing my results very difficult. Luckily I also have the most
awesome boyfriend, and he volunteered to take one for the team so I could show
you how well the strips work!

Unfortunately, we couldn't show the end result, his skin flared up quite a
bit, his skin is way more sensitive than mine, and it took a while for the
redness to dissipate. So if your skin is very sensitive, I would not recommend
you use these. But if your skin is able to handle it, this is a great
product, and I will most definitely be getting more!

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration spf30 Sunscreen ($7.99 for
full sized bottle)
It smells great, kind of like cocoa butter, vanilla and
shea, and has a cute “silk” swirl wrapped around the sunscreen. It’s a bit
oily, but to me that just means I don’t have to use much, thus making the bottle
last longer! Definitely worth the money, I will be buying this again!

I have never used a nude lip color before this one, so I
was a little leery about trying this I have to admit. It isn’t that I don’t
like the color, I just never believed it would look good on me. After trying
this color I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It smells nice, like
vanilla, and goes on nicely. It took only one tube dip to cover my lips. It
isn’t as sticky as I thought it’d be, and lasts a good while. I was able to
drink without it coming off, too. So all in all I’d say I was very happy with
this product, and for the price it’s worth a try! I may or may not be buying
this, I usually prefer reds, but this would be good for those days that I
prefer to go natural.
