yeah, that excited
And now with introductions out of the way, on to the reviews!

L'Occitane Skincare

left: shea butter foot cream, lavender hand cream, the "world famous" shea butter hand cream
center: cherry blossom soap, almond soap, lavender fizzy pebble
right: lavender relaxing roll-on, pivoine flora shower gel

L'Occitane is an eco-friendly skincare/fragrance line that prides itself in using all natural ingredients that are plant-based and clinically proven to do more for your skin than other skincare products with more chemical based ingredients.
During a visit to their 14th street and 9th avenue shop, I was greeted by the gorgeous scent of immortelle and lavender, and two of the most amazing sales associates I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. I was new to the store, and only went there to get a free 30ml sample of their world famous shea butter hand creme, which usually costs only $10! Let me tell you, when I get a coupon for a freebie, I will trek to that store to get it! This was a very generous sample too, and a great opportunity to try a new brand. And according to the company, one of these creams are sold every 3 seconds around the world! So of course I had to see what the hype was about!
Jessica, one of the sales associates, showed me and my friend Mary Ann around the store to look at their best selling products, and her coworker, James, helped me to create a mini swag bag of products to try out (shown above.) Altogether, I spent $60 on my purchase, and on top of getting the free hand cream with my coupon, for spending $60 I got a free full sized bottle of shower gel! I definitely felt like I walked out of the store with my money's worth!
So for anyone who lives in NYC check out the L'Occitane shop on 14th street and 9th avenue! Or if you plan on visiting the city check the shop out! Jessica and James are amazing, and they will help you find exactly what you're looking for! Reviewing time!

Shea Butter Foot Cream ($10 for 1oz, $28 for 5.2oz)

1oz bottle
This foot cream feels so nice! The minute I opened the bottle I could smell the lavender! (I loooove lavender!) It is infused with lavender oil, shea butter and mint for cooling and moisturizing. The consistency is very light, not at all oily, and made my feet feel so soft! The mint made my feet tingly too, which I enjoyed. This is perfect for using after a long day of work or running errands, so treat your feet!

Lavender Hand Cream ($10 for 1oz, $22 for 2.6oz)

1oz bottle
As stated before, I love lavender. And I immediately fell in love with this hand cream! This also has shea butter infused with the lavender oil, and nourishes your skin while leaving a soft and subtle lavender scent. This cream was also not oily, and melted into my skin when I applied it to my hands, not to mention it smelled lovely. I will most definitely be buying this again!

Shea Butter Hand Cream ($10 for 1oz, $28 for 5.2oz)

1oz bottle
This is what I initially went to the store to get, and I was not disappointed. It's no wonder that this cream sells so many units, it really is great! It is infused with  shea butter, honey, almond extracts and coconut oil for nourishing and moisturizing. I'm seeing so far that this brand's creams are very mindful about consistency, this one wasn't oily feeling either. It smells very nice and light, powdery, not too powdery, but just enough that your hands smell wonderful. my hands felt very nice and supple after the first use! Definitely a must buy in my book! This was a great freebie, and I don't know how long this promo will last, so if you would like to get a free 1oz bottle of this cream, here is the link!

Cherry Blossom Soap ($5.00 1.7oz, $15.00 soap trio)

1.7oz bar
Along with lavender, I am a huge cherry blossom lover. So I thought this would be a nice thing to try. I haven't used mine yet, but I used a sample, and it smells wonderful. very light smelling, not too overpowering, which I like because a lot of cherry blossom scented products tend to be on the sharp side. My hands felt very clean afterwards, no feeling of residue stuck to my hands - some soaps give me that feeling like I didn't wash all of it off. A nice buy, and it looks like it'll last long.

Almond Soap ($5.00 for 1.7oz)

1.7oz bar
This soap bar was recommended to me by James. It has a light almond blossom scent, and crushed almond shells for exfoliating. I was very interested in trying this product because my skin sometimes feels a bit rough, especially in winter weather. During the summer I feel icky from sweating, so exfoliating helps me to feel good about my skin after a long day of cooking in the sun. I got to try this one at home, and I really enjoyed it. My skin felt rejuvenated and perfect!
how i felt after using the almond soap, minus the fish slap... (I love cartoons btw, so get used to seeing a few
references here and there :p)
Anyway, this is a nice soap, and I recommend it to anyone who has rough skin, or just wants to treat their body to some gentle and natural dermabrasion. :)

Lavender Fizzy Pebble ($4.00 for 1.7oz)

1.7oz pebble
This pebble is a lavender scented bath bomb. I love bath bombs, they leave my skin feeling good and smelling great. A nice long soak is a great way to treat yourself after a long day, and I know when I get to use this, I will feel very relaxed. The lavender scent comes through the plastic packaging. I smelled it and already felt my stress melting away. I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, but so far this brand has not disappointed me, so I look forward to pampering myself one night.

Lavender Relaxing Roll-On ($15.00 for 0.33oz)

0.33oz bottle
This was another recommendation by James. He said it relaxes your muscles, helps you fall asleep, and helps with headaches. I get frequent headaches, and I'm tired of popping two Aleves every time I feel one coming on, so I decided to try it. While at work, I had difficulty relaxing and letting sleep take me. My job is an overnight job, but I do get to sleep for a bit, and I have a lot of difficulty sleeping no matter where I am. So, I tried using this roll-on. The directions say to put it on your temples, the nape of your neck, and your wrists, then to inhale and relax, so I did. I was pleasantly surprised, after a little while I felt less tense, and although it didn't put me to sleep, it relaxed me enough that sleep could take me naturally. It was heavenly!

aaaaahhhhhh.....

Pivoine Flora Shower Gel ($8.00 for 2.5oz, $20.00 for 8.4oz)

8.4oz bottle

I got this full sized bottle for free with my purchase! The scent is peony, it smells a bit like roses, but more perfumed. I love the smell of this shower gel, it's fresh and feminine, and feels luxurious on my skin. A little goes a long way too. You should use a bath pouf with this wash, it lathers up more and you won't need as much gel. I know some people just use their hands, but with this wash I'd advise you to use a washcloth, sponge or pouf to elongate the life of your bottle.

Sorbet Verbena Cooling Gloss (limited edition item, $12.00)

0.5oz tube, limited edition
This gloss was a little something extra that I picked up. It's a limited edition from their Verbena collection. I fell in love with this gloss, it isn't sticky at all, it smells amazing, and it has a nice minty tingle that leaves my lips feeling cool and moisturized. The scent is a mix of fruity, floral, and citrus, and I think I smell an apple-ish undertone in there too. Everything from this limited edition line is gorgeous, and I hope they don't discontinue it too soon, I still want to get a few other items before they're gone!
