Birchbox November!

This month I have to say was my favorite birchbox yet! Everything was really great! Check out all this awesome stuff!

In my box I received a full sized mascara from ModelCo, a mini roll on fragrance from Jouer, a sample of Lavender & Clary Sage hair powder from Lulu Organics, a mini shimmer liquid luminizer from Stila, and as a yummy extra a SOYJOY cranberry bar!

I also received a mini gift box that I can use to give someone else a gift during this holiday season!

Jouer Fragrance Cornucopia ($42.00 for full size)

This mini roll on is part of a mini set of Jouer products in a gift pack. The roll on is a perfume oil that smells like jasmine, honeysuckle and gardenia - it's amazing! The floral/fruity scent smells light on skin but lasts very long! And the oil doesn't just sit on top of the skin, it kind of soaks in which I thought was nice.

Lulu Organics Lavender & Clary Sage Hair Powder ($30.00 for full size)

I was very exited to try this, sometimes I don't have enough time to wash and dry out my hair, so I thought this might make a nice quick fix. While it smells very nice, I have to say it didn't really do anything for my hair. It says to only use a quarter sized amount and work through hair and brush, but it felt like nothing was even in my hair. I wound up using a bit more, but it honestly didn't feel like it made a difference. I really liked the idea, but I guess it just wasn't for me.

ModelCo Fibre Lashxtend Lengthening Mascara ($24.00 for full size)

I love this mascara! I have been using this since I first got it! And I love the little mirror on the back, it's a big help on the go! This mascara has fibers in it to lengthen lashes and give them volume. It works so well, and it dries pretty quickly. It didn't smudge either, which was great news since I tend to forget I'm wearing makeup almost always!

Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer ($20.00 for full size)

This luminizer can be used on the cheeks, eyelids or mixed in with your foundation. It is very light, and blends well. I love the color, but with my skin tone I find I can only use it as cheek highlighter or shimmer blush. I might even have used it as a lip color if it were safe for lips! (hell I might try anyways!)

SOYJOY Cranberry Snack Pack ($6.00 for 5 bars)

I like soy, but I was a little scared of this. Not everything soy tastes great in my experience! So I let my bf be the guinea pig and take the first bite! (muahahaha!) And surprisingly enough he liked it! If he liked it I figured I might too, so I reluctantly took a bite and wham! Yummy happy feelings!

oh my glob!
The bar was so soft and chewy, and the cranberry pieces in it made it even better! The softness of the soy bar with the fruit complimented each other very well! Me and my bf practically fought over the last piece, so of course I will have to buy a box now!

November Sample Society!

This month I was much more impressed with the Sample Society box, there were a nice assortment of products I've never heard of before, and the sample sizes were great!

In this month's box, I received a sample of Dermalogica Pre Cleanse, a mini lipstick from Diego Dalla Palma, a mini L'occitane Shea Butter hand cream, a sample bottle of Bamboo Kendi Dry Oil Mist, and a sample of Diptyque Volutes eau de toilette.

Dermalogica Pre Cleanse ($35.00 for full size)

This cleanser has a very light botanical scent. This cleanser is part of a 3 step regimen, I received a sample of step 1 and 2 to try. The pre cleanser is actually an oil that you apply to your face dry, and when you add water it becomes light and milky. This removes excess oil, dirt, makeup and anything you may have applied to your face during the day. The cleansing gel goes on afterwards, washing away anything left behind. I really like how well this works, my skin felt very clean and soft! I had no redness afterwards either. I would love to try the whole 3 step regimen and see what wonders it does for my skin!

Diego Dalla Palma The Lipstick in Orange Frost ($34.00 for full size)

I was kind of iffy about this lipstick, I'm not an orange kinda gal. But I was pleasantly surprised, I like this color. Its frosty shimmer isn't loud, but I do have to say the lipstick is a little too hard. I had to go around a few times for it to actually show up on my lips. It does feel nice on my lips,I just wish I didn't have to swipe so many times.

L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream ($10.00 for 1oz, $28.00 for 5.2 oz)

I actually did a review on this cream and other L'occitane products a while back (check it out here!) This quickly became my favorite hand cream, it smells great and leaves my hands feeling so soft! I highly recommend this hand cream, one is sold every 10 seconds!

Bamboo Kendi Dry Oil Mist ($24.00 for full size)

This is a really nice hair product! It has a very light scent that is fresh, and the oil is very light as well. It is supposed to help fight frizzies, and I have to say it worked very well! I have really frizzy hair, especially after I wash it, this is great for styling and it makes my hair soft and healthy!

Diptyque Volutes Eau de Toilette ($88.00 for 1.7 oz, $120.00 for 3.4 oz, $140.00 for 2.5 oz)

This is a fragrance unlike any other I've ever tried. It has a smokey spice scent, with sweet notes that make it very sultry and sophisticated. It wasn't strong to begin with when I applied it, but it lightened to such a nice scent that I was taken aback by it. My bf was like whoa you smell good! The price tag hurts, but if I were able to afford it I would definitely get this!

November Maven Box!

This month Julep released their suede collection, featuring warm colors inspired by fall. Some of the colors even have a matte suede finish!

This month I couldn't resist some of the gorgeous colors available, and some of them actually had matte suede finishes! I also got two of the add-ons. My box was jam packed with nice stuff!

This month's Classic with a Twist colors were Minka and Brit. I also received a Pink Grapefruit Body Frosting, and some nail polish remover pads an extra. The box also had a mini booklet of holiday gift ideas from their online shop! My add-ons were Nora and Trina.

give the gift of glam!

Minka ($14.00)

This is a red suede. It dries very quickly and the matte finish makes it gorgeous! It applies evenly and I only needed one coat for full coverage.

Brit ($14.00)

This is a silver suede, also matte. I love silver polish! It dries quickly and evenly, and you only need one coat for full coverage.

Trina ($14.00)

This is a deep purple shimmer. This shade doesn't have a suede finish, but it's still gorgeous! This shade is great for fall, this season deep purples and reds are everywhere!
For this shade I would suggest two coats, it applies evenly but it was a little light on the first coat.

Nora ($14.00)

This is a purple silver suede. This is another shade with a matte suede finish, and I absolutely love it! It applies evenly and dries quickly. You only need one coat for full coverage.

Pink Grapefuit Body Frosting ($18.00)

I thought this was really nice! It smells amazing and melts into my skin and leaves it feeling super soft! I love how it really looks whipped, it looked delicious!

Polish Remover Pads ($9.99 for set of ten, coming soon)

I actually figured these were just cheap little polish remover pads with their logo on it, but I was surprised at how well they worked! I have had crap luck with polish remover pads, so I was very skeptical. I needed only one pad for my whole hand, and it didn't leave my nails looking dry. These aren't available for purchase yet, but they will be soon!

If you would like to join Julep you can sign up here! And remember, the promo code PENNY will get you your first box for a penny!

Big Pink Box November!

This month's Big Pink Box seemed to be all about accessorizing! This box had some great stuff in it, and I can't wait to share it with you!

For those of you new to The Big Pink Box, this is a subscription service ($25.00) offered every month (which you have to purchase either a month at a time or by 3 months at a time) that showcases products from beauty to clothing by indie women owned companies! There are only 100 boxes offered a month so you have to move fast to get your hands on one!

Komplete Accessory Boutique
www.kompleteme.com
kompleteme@gmail.com

I got these awesome piano key earrings from this company. These were my favorite item in the box! They're so funky and cute, I've been getting compliments on them since I started wearing them! (full sized product: $25.00)

Incredible Boutique
(404) 229-8710

incredibleboutique@gmail.com

These bracelets are super cute! I love the color combo with the crystal accents, it gives a punk princess vibe. The website is full of other really pretty items, so check it out! (full sized product: $30.00)

Cream and Coco
creamandcoco.com
twitter: @creamandcoco
instagram: @creamandcoco

This company sells handmade soaps and other skincare items. I received a Berry Mudslide soap bar, it smelled nice. I liked how it made my skin feel, and I liked that I was using organic handmade soap. I felt so fancy! The bar looked cool too, like a piece of marble! (sample sized product: $4.00)

Conspiracy 13
facebook: http://www.facebook.com/conspiracy13clothing
etsy shop: conspiracy13
twitter: @conspiracy_13

I got a woven bracelet from Conspiracy13, a company that makes rocker inspired jewelry. I love this! I have a bit of a rocker streak in me, so I was happy to see something a little more my taste in the box. The bracelet is suede and chain woven together, and fits very comfortable on the wrist. Check out their etsy shop for other cool rocker accessories! (full sized product: $27.00)

Sarah's Boutique
(678) 805-SARA
www.itssarahsboutique.com

I honestly have to say I was not impressed with this item. Apparently this is worth $10, but I live near Chinatown, where I'm sure I can find these exact earrings, or better, for way less. They are pretty, but I feel that this was a cheap representation of the brand compared to what I saw on their website. These earrings aren't even offered on their site, so I'm confused as to why they would even use this as their pink box product. The items offered on their site are way better, and I feel that this item poorly represented the brand. Had I not looked at their website I probably would never have considered ever purchasing from them. If you are a fashionista looking for the right accessory to compliment your look, check out their site! (full sized product: $10.00)

Spectrum Cosmetics
http://www.sp3ctrum.com/

This was the only cosmetic item I received this time around, but it's great! It was a fun added bonus to the box. It's a shimmer lacquer with a hint of pink, perfect for a natural look! It wasn't sticky at all, and it lasted a while. Spetrum Cosmetics has so many great items for sale on their website, and I highly recommend you check them out! A great plus to purchasing on their site - every purchase goes to helping find the cure for autism! (hence their name "spectrum") This is a very personal plus for me, my youngest brother is autistic, and I love him very much. The fact that I can support such a goodhearted company in their fight, and know they're fighting alongside me and my family makes it amazing! (full sized product: $16.00)

The Big Pink Box has no more subscriptions left for the year, so you'll have to wait for the January box to open up! So keep an eye out for next year's goodies!

The Lip Scrub and Lip Slip by Sara Happ Review!

I am very happy to be sharing this product with you all! I bought this lip care duo on Coterie, a members-only site that offers exclusive access to various products by top beauty brands. The site collaborates with different brands to offer the best deals on the newest and most popular beauty products on the market!

I love the packaging!

The Lip Scrub is a sugar scrub that gently exfoliates the lips and leaves them feeling baby soft! It comes in different flavors, and as a chocoholic I got mine in Cocoa. As an added bonus for getting the scrub I was given the Lip Slip, a moisturizing lip balm that compliments the scrub very well. Both came in adorable little gift boxes topped with cute little bows!

The Lip Scrub in Cocoa ($24.00)

The scrub is amazing! It has a teeny hint of chocolate taste to it, but a funny aftertaste afterwards. It isn't bad, not enough to deter from the awesomeness of the product! To exfoliate, you take a generous amount (which isn't a lot, a little goes a long way!) and in a circular motion use your fingers to rub it on your lips. Afterwards you just tissue off and voila! Soft, kissable lips! I am absolutely in love with this scrub, since I started using it my lips have felt so nice!

The Lip Slip Balm ($24.00)

This balm is the perfect follow up to your scrub! It has no color, but it hydrates lips, leaving them even softer! My lips felt so supple and delicate, I was truly surprised! Even my bf told me how kissably soft my lips felt! Now that's a plus!

I have used other lip scrubs before, but none of them had given me results as nice as this! I highly recommend this lip duo to everyone, and if chocolate isn't your thing the Sara Happ website has other scrumptious flavors to choose from! So what are you waiting for? Get scrubbing!

And if you would like to receive exclusive deals on amazing beauty brands, check out Coterie!
